Cedar Gulch trail to Mt. Galbraith Loop

Incident by Shoulders & Giants - Post Rock

Last weekend, 11/1/14, I took a spontaneous trip out to Golden and hiked the the quick Mt. Galbraith Loop. I think I've found one of my favorite go to, can't-decide-what-to-do-today hikes. It's close enough to be able to wake up late and still get a out of the house for a few hours. The trail has some great views and overlooks of Golden, the Coors Brewery, and downtown Denver in the distance as well as Lookout Mountain and the mesas there right outside of town. There is some good challenge too, having to step on and over rocks. I took us off-trail a bit by accident which made for exciting, albeit perilous, return to the car.

It's too bad it was mostly cloudy, but we'll just have to go back.
